About Hamilton & Adams
In the heart of Kingston, New York's historic Stockade District stands Hamilton & Adams, a clothing shop fostering a blend of vintage charm and modern style. Established by Andrew Adam Addotta and Clark Hamilton Chaine, this store occupies the once-vacant Kingston Opera House building, now bursting with fashion-forward offerings. Pioneered in 2017, the shop quickly transformed itself into a local staple thanks to its well-curated selection of men's and women's apparel, alongside unique grooming products and tasteful giftware.
As you explore the boutique's Victorian-inspired decor—from the original pressed-tin ceilings to the exposed brick walls—you'll discover high-quality brands like Red Wing Heritage, Alex Mill, and Schott NYC, alongside Hamilton & Adams' very own fashion line.
Beyond the clothing itself, the three-part boutique – encompassing The Library, The Atrium, and The Lodge – encourages a welcoming, rustic shopping experience. Each section is a testament to the founders’ vision, filled with eclectic elements like antique maps, a vintage pharmacy case used as shelves, and live plants, evoking a sense of warmth and authenticity.
Parking: Street parking available in the Stockade District
Vibe: Rustic yet modern with a focus on community and craftsmanship
What to try: Upstate & Chill® apparel line, often sold out quickly
Good to know: Has expanded over the years to include three interconnected retail spaces
Hours note: Open Monday to Saturday 11AM-6PM, Sunday 11AM-5PM
