About Little Cat Lodge
Perched at the foot of the magnificent Catamount Mountain in The Berkshires, Little Cat Lodge offers an unparalleled retreat infused with alpine charm and modern comforts. Once a historic stagecoach station and later the iconic Swiss Hutte Inn, this property has been artfully reimagined by Matt Kliegman and Noah Bernamoff, restaurateurs and founders of New York City's quintessential Black Seed Bagels and separately, a number of the city's most beloved bars and restaurants including Mile End Delicatessen, The Smile, Grand Army, Celestine, as well as Otto's Market right here in the Hudson Valley. The Lodge's design blends rustic elegance with contemporary style, featuring 14 uniquely decorated rooms that transform a stay into a bespoke experience.
The culinary offerings are a feast for the senses. Edwards Tavern, the Lodge's on-site restaurant, presents an Alpine-inspired menu crafted with locally sourced ingredients, promising dishes like pork schnitzel and red wine-braised duck leg, set in a cozy 70-seat dining room with views of the mountain. Meanwhile, the 45-seat bar, under the adept guidance of beverage director Chris Balla, serves up innovative cocktails alongside a curated selection of craft beers and natural wines, ensuring that every sip is as captivating as the surroundings.
Beyond its culinary delights, Little Cat Lodge is a gateway to year-round adventure. Its prime location near Catamount Mountain Resort makes it an ideal base for winter skiing, while summer unveils hiking trails, biking opportunities, and a pool-side sanctuary with al fresco dining. Not to be missed are the secluded barrel saunas, offering rejuvenating warmth amidst the tranquil forest setting. Whether it's the thrill of the slopes or the serenity of a woodland walk, this Lodge offers a blend of relaxation and adventure that beckons travelers back time and again.
