About The Restaurant at The Bird & Bottle Inn

The Restaurant at The Bird & Bottle Inn invites guests to experience the rich history and enduring charm of a Hudson Valley landmark brought thoughtfully back to life. Originally built in 1761 and once known as Warren’s Tavern, the Garrison-based inn has served as a tavern, stagecoach stop, and dining destination for more than 250 years. Under the care of Marjorie Tarter and Brendan McAlpine—local hospitality veterans behind Wonderbar and The Roundhouse—the Bird has been lovingly restored with a balance of historical reverence and modern refinement.

Guests can now enjoy dinner in a cozy, firelit dining room adorned with Revolutionary War-era art and nods to the inn’s storied past, including tributes to Cold Spring native Emily Warren Roebling. The menu celebrates seasonal fare with dishes like duck pappardelle and spring pea risotto, while the adjacent tavern offers charcuterie, flatbreads, and curated cocktails in a more casual setting. Whether gathering for a special dinner, weekend brunch, or outdoor drinks by Indian Brook, The Restaurant at The Bird & Bottle Inn is a timeless retreat reimagined for today.
