Assembly Kingston
A new venue bringing live music, dance parties, comedy, film and more to Kingston NY's Stockade District.
About Assembly Kingston
Assembly Kingston, the Hudson Valley’s newest music and events venue, recently opened its doors in Kingston’s historic Stockade District, filling a long-standing need for a mid-sized performance space in the region. Housed in the beautifully restored top floor of the former St. Joseph’s School at 236 Wall Street, Assembly preserves the architectural charm of this building, including ornamental ceilings, arched windows, and hardwood floors. With a capacity of up to 485 guests, and acoustics designed by renowned architect John Storyk (Electric Lady Studios, Bearsville Theater), Assembly is set to become a hub for nationally touring acts, as well as a home for diverse community programming ranging from concerts and film screenings to comedy nights, markets, and more.
Behind Assembly are experienced concert producers Peter Himberger and Drew Frankel of Impact Concerts, whose deep ties to the Hudson Valley music scene and artist management world have shaped every detail of the venue’s design and operation. Their shared mission is reflected in the venue’s name: a space to bring people together — for music, culture, and community. While it won’t operate as a daily bar, the venue has a licensed movable bar for events, enhancing the experience for concertgoers.
With its blend of history, artistry, and thoughtful production, Assembly is poised to become a cornerstone of Kingston’s cultural landscape — a place for connection, celebration, and community.
