Nestled on ten serene acres between Woodstock and Phoenicia, Foxfire Mountain House and its Bar Room & Restaurant blend rustic Catskills charm with an adventurous, globally inspired menu. Inside the century-old inn, guests gather by the fire or on the veranda for a relaxed, intimate dining experience that feels both timeless and transportive.
Helmed by Executive Chef Rob Escalante, the menu celebrates seasonality and local bounty through dishes like Fried Squid with yuzu kosho cocktail sauce, Steamed Mussels in aleppo butter and white wine, and Roasted Duck with farro, porcini, and morello cherries. Mains range from comforting Spaghetti alla Zozzona to an Iberian Pork Chop with braised lentils and chimichurri, while desserts such as Sticky Toffee Pudding with crème fraîche and Chocolate Sesame Tart with cherry miso ice cream end the evening on an indulgent note.
